DescriptionBox: Rectangular box with domed lid hinged at rear; box and lid covered with red-brown leather; decorated with embossed gilt borders and geometric designs on front and lid; iron bail handle on top; rectangular lock plate on front of box, hinged hasp on front of lid; interior lined with medical text book pages stenciled over with geometric design of ovals and stars. Fabric tape nailed inside proper right end to sides of case and lid.

Deal case covered with leather; iron mounts.Mark(s)"9-1" and "3 1" in ink on base.
