DescriptionBlanket Chest or trunk. Rectangular, six board construction hinged at rear with a pair of old (but not original) iron strap hinges; large, wrought iron hasp bolted to top and fastens through large staple at front (does not lock); shallow heart carved on front of trunk just above hasp staple; both ends of trunk banded on sides and bottom by thin strip of wrought iron nailed to boards; interior divided into two unequal compartments by single divider at left of center.
