DescriptionDrawing of a pink and yellow duck with green eyes.Label TextOn September 25, 1966, Dr. Alexander Sackton began a ledger to record "an accurate count and description of the drawings of Eddie Arning and also to show when they are sold, to whom and for what price." Sackton meticulously numbered each of Arning's drawings so that they could be tracked. Dates, titles, purchaser, and price were all listed for each piece. This duck, an early example of Arning's work, was numbered 377. The ledger entry includes dimensions and the date, October 15, 1966, for when Arning gave the work to Sackton.
