DescriptionSilver caster with a rope-edged circular foot, a raised conical body, and an incurving tubular neck. Engraved swags and tassels encircle the body at the widest point and below the moulded rim, which also included an oval cartouche. Pressure-fit pierced lid decorated with six engraved panels of eight circular piercings, topped by a cast and engraved petaled finial.Inscription(s)Oval cartouche below the rim engraved with an “OAS” monogram in sprigged script.ProvenancePurchased by Charles W.
