The book was a compilation of travel narratives translated by Henri Justel, a scholar and book collector, who served both Louis XIV and Charles II. The book included this map which was copied, at least the information, from Richard Blome's 1672 map in "A Description of the Island of Jamaica" (London 1672).ProvenanceBefore 2001, the Map House (London, England); 2001, purchased by William C.
