DescriptionThis is a rectangular flour sack with rounded corners at the base. The sack is constructed with a fold on one side and seamed on the other and at base. The opening at the top is an unhemmed selvage. The sack is made up of printed yellow cotton in a pattern of tiny red rosebuds and weraths of tiny blue flowers. A pasted white paper label on the front is printed in red, blue, white, and yellow and contains the words: "10 Lbs. Net / Gold Chain / Enriched BLEACHED FLOUR" and an image of an adorable smiling white baby. The label measures OW: 7" x OH: 11".Label TextThe recycling of four, sugar, and animal feed sacks during the 1920s to the 1960s was a common practice in the United Sates by both urban and rural folk.
