DescriptionDish of oval shaped form, with scalloped sides and shell handles, painted in overglaze enamels with branch with peaches and leaves, grapes and grape leaves, strawberries, a butterfly and a dragonfly, many concealing large glass imperfections.

Raised anchor period.Label TextThis dish is derived from the popular silver shape used at the Chelsea factory, but the decoration is less familiar. The painting of fruits and flowers as if they cast a shadow on the porcelain is a device taken from Meissen, where it was called ombrirte teutsche Blumen.
