DescriptionRectangular pipe tray; dovetailed corners of sides; long sides with scalloped edges, ends shaped in reverse serpentine; sides slightly splayed, divided by full length scalloped divider of same design as sides with oval cut in arches center for handle; bottom with rounded edge screwed to underside of sides.Label TextLonger than a knife or cutlery tray of the same divided form with a handle and scalloped edges, this mahogany example was intended to store and transport pipes around a home. Alternative pipe boxes that held pipes vertically and hung on walls are often found of woods common to America. Made entirely of mahogany, this example was likely produced in England.
