DescriptionWool embroidery pocketbook or letter case, of the single type with rounded flap. Main exterior surfaces embroidered in woolen Florentine stitch on coarse double-thread canvas. The design is a regular zig-zag pattern in alternating coarses of shaded moss-greeen and shaded lavender with yellow lines. The exterior is divided into two expanding compartments and is fully lined in slate-colored glazed wool. Edges bound in orange wool tape, with single piece of same material sewn to end of flap to serve as tie ribbon.Mark(s)NoneProvenanceUnknown
