DescriptionPlate with hand painted underglaze cobalt blue decorations. Center of plate with over scale peony flowers against a pomegranate tree in the so-called "Peony and Pomegranate" pattern. Cavetto with four panels of lattice work interspersed with four cartouches containing stylized floral sprigs. Rim with three larger floral sprays. Few inclusions; fine potting; no puddling of moderately blue glaze over buff-orange body. Unglazed foot ring.
