DescriptionRound soap box on a low, domed foot; box unscrews at center and edges of each half are bound with threaded gilt metal molding; box has copper body and is covered inside and out with white enamel; outer surface painted with bunches of roses, violets, tulips, poppies, and forget-me-nots in their natural colors in reserves framed by raised gilt scrolls; reserves not decorated with flowers have raised white enamel dots arranged in intermeshed diamond pattern.Mark(s)"73" in blue glaze on inside of top.ProvenanceVendor: Tilley & Co., London18th century
