DescriptionMan's banyan of silk satin double cloth woven in stripe alternating blue and yellow stripes with rows of dots on black ground. High fold-down collar; double breasted with ten self covered buttons and 10 functinal buttonholes, which can be buttoned over in either direction. Sleeves slightly gathered at top of shoulders, ending in 3 1/2-inch wide sewn-down cuffs with single button and buttonhole. Back center vent open from waist to hem. Sleeves and upper back lined with twill cotton; skirts and front upper body lined with cream silk. Pocket on inside left breast.1740-1750
