DescriptionDish: of circular shape with foot ring; decorated in opaque enamels (famille rose); the broad everted rim painted with a border of 12 floral swags; the cavetto decorated with a gilt inward pointing spearhead border; the well of the dish with a central floral cluster of pink roses and rose buds and other purple and pink flowers.ProvenanceDescended in the Tucker families of New York and Bermuda. Passed down to Catharine Fitch Tucker [February 28, 1879-August 22, 1970] of Paget, Bermuda, who gifted the piece to her nephew, Edward Bolton (Teddy) Tucker, MBE [May 8, 1929-June 9, 2014]; it then descended to his daughter Wendy Susan Tucker who subsequently gifted it to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in 2024.ca. 1755
