DescriptionCircular pewter plate with a concave rim edged by a single bead, a hammered booge, and a well surrounded by an incised circle.Inscription(s)Bottom of plate engraved with a double-flowered acanthus sprig separating "P P."Mark(s)A crowned lion, walking left and holding a flag & staff over his shoulder, flanked by columns, with SKINNER in a rectangle below and IOHN on a banner above. All in relief against a matted ground. Also, four pseudo-hallmarks, all in relief against a matted ground within a shield (Jacobs- 249).
