DescriptionRectangular quilt appliqued in red and green small-scale printed cottons in a design of abstracted flowers set into a diagonal grid (a variation of "Rose of Sharon") on a ground textile with a pale green cast. Quilting motifs between the appliqued motifs include feathered wreaths, feather vines, trees, and figures that may represent Adam and Eve. Backed with the same greenish-white cotton as on the face.ProvenanceThe quilt was a gift to the last owner from her father in the 1980s. It has a history of ownership in Iowa.
