DescriptionBlack-glazed brown earthenware baluster-form large jug decorated in cold gilding on the front with a foliate scroll edged cartouche forming a faux bottle tag label inscribed "I + A / TRUE BLUE" suspended from chains issuing from rings and foliate decoration at the top of the brown strap handle; rings issue a further chain pendant on each side, flanking a scene of a mounted huntsman pursuing five hounds amidst trees and a fence on a hilly landscape beneath the label. The spout is edged in gilt foliate S-scrolls and it has a foliate decoration on the front.Inscription(s)"I + A / TRUE BLUE" opposite handle in gilding.ProvenanceEx coll: Harry H.
