DescriptionFolding pocketbook of wool Irish stitch on linen canvas in a zig-zag design predominantly worked in greens, reds/pinks and and yellows. Red wool twill tape binding that also forms closure ties. Lining of bright red-orange glazed wool satin. Interior opens to reveal two equal-sized gusseted sections, each with a stiffener dividing it.Label TextAlthough pocketbooks such as this example were usually embroidered by women, many of them were used by males for carrying paper money and bills.
