DescriptionShield back side chair with molded crest rail and stiles; four molded curved banisters in splay meet at carved foliate fan at base of splat; trapezoidal upholstered seat with serpentine front rail; straight tapered legs, square in cross section; rear legs chamfered on inner corners; side, medial, and rear stretchers, rectangular in cross section; medial stretcher in half dovetail from underside of side stretchers.Mark(s)Upholstery tag dated 7/21/1979 indicates that 00 Furniture Upholstery at 00 North Robinson Street in Richmond, Virginia upholstered the chair for Reases Upholstery.ProvenanceMrs. Parks Pigram Duffey family of Richmond through Reese (Richmond) in 1979.
