DescriptionExterior right window jamb (structural member); hewn, adzed and planed; both ends tenoned; painted trim (white) would have been exposed exterior surface; integral pulley box (5 7/8" x 1 1/4") and wheel still in place and movable; wheel cracked and painted; below the integral pulley is an opening (6 1/8" x 1 1/8"), indicating a possible earlier pulley location; the bottom four (4) inches of painted trim has been patched. There are 4 blue tape markers showing paint sampling locations.

Label TextDating to circa 1752, this architectural artifact gives us information on early window construction and finish, as well as changes over time. Acting as the frame for the window sash to sit in, the upper portion would have held a stationary sash, while the lower sash could slide. This window also tells us that it had multiple generations of weighted window sash.
