DescriptionAlmost hemispherical sugar dish with straight-sided foot ring and two handles comprised of horizontally entwined reeded straps with floral junctures. The lid has a low knop. Both body and cover are decorated with polychrome enameled King's Rose pattern consisting of roses, miscellaneous flowers and leaves in red, green, black, and yellow.Label TextCreamware sugar dishes are rare survivals. This example completes an assembled tea and coffee service in the King's Rose pattern that matches archaeological shards from various sites within the historic area.
