DescriptionThrown salt-glazed stoneware pitcher constructed of swirled brown and white clay with hand-formed pouring lip and strap handle. A face of brown clay applied to the side of the jug, beneath the pouring lip and opposite the handle. Porcelain teeth were inserted into the grinning mouth.ProvenanceFormerly in the collection of Edward A. Chappell.
