DescriptionRectangular table with overhanging molded top, turned columnar legs & baluster shaped feet, stretcher base, rectangular in cross section, single drawer on long side of table with one (replaced) brass drawer pull.ProvenanceThis table descended in the Galt family of Williamsburg and was purchased by the vendor at the sale of contents of the Nelson-Galt House in 1978. A certificate signed by Anne Galt Black states that the table has "been an item of master bedroom furniture in the Nelson Galt house, appearing on every fragmentary or full inventory" since Dr. Alexander Dickie Galt (1771-1840).
