DescriptionAppearance: Rectangular sideboard table; straight skirt; large drawer in center of front skirt with keyhole and brass knob; tall slightly tapered legs, square in cross section; remnants of a red wash remain on surface.Construction: Front, back and side skirts double tenoned and pegged to legs; top nailed to skirt from top; (modern) glue blocks nailed inside corners of legs; horizontal drawer supports and vertical drawer guides nailed in place from front and back skirts; vertical spacers positioned near back of drawer guides from top of guide to table top nailed from top; drawer front nailed to drawer sides; drawer sides nailed to drawer back; drawer bottom set inside front and sides and nailed from front and sides; drawer bottom nailed to bottom edge of drawer back.ProvenanceAccording to dealer from "private collection."
