DescriptionTortoiseshell-glazed "Bole" teapot and lid, modeled possibly by Jean Voyez as a green mossy gnarl of greenish-grey roots, the manganese-splashed spout and handle are molded as knotty vine stems, the handle issuing grape clusters and leaves, and the cover surmounted by a twisted shell-form knop.ProvenancePurchased from Art Trading Ltd.
