DescriptionBrass balance with folded over & pierced end, engraved with numerals & gradations on both sides. Slide mounted with cast medalet with maker's names & patent information, two sets of steel points project below to act as balance points.

Painted & partially marbled paper-mache two part case embellished with tooled geometric and floral decoration.Inscription(s)Medallet on slide reads "BY THE KINGS PATENT" at center and "BRADFORD.DARBY. &.HULLS."
