DescriptionOblong soup tureen with tapering foot the handles in the form of boars heads picked out in iron red. It is coverd by a slightly domed lid bearing a scroll knop also decorated in iron red. Decorated in opaque enamels with flower swags, floral sprays, feathers and fruit. Deep stand decorated with matching border of swags and sprays.ProvenanceDescended in the Macon family of New Kent and Orange counties, Virginia.
