DescriptionStirrup cup press molded in the form of a dog with separately molded ears. The dog is decorated with a mottled brown colored glaze, possibly painted since the eyes are left comparatively clean. There is no definition of fur. The dog is portrayed with a slightly open mouth with the tongue slightly visible. The opening of the cup is bordered with two faintly incised lines.ProvenancePurchased by donor from David Newbon, 11/22/1979.
