DescriptionTankard of pear-shaped body with short rolled foot; an ear-shaped handle with a lower curled terminal is applied to one side. The body is decorated in pale green, puce, and yellow: a reserve opposite the handle contains a scene depicting a cooper at work in his shop; on either side of the handle are two chinoiserie scenes; the handle is painted with circles and dashes; the rim and foot are painted with concentric puce lines.
