DescriptionMusic stand - Serpentine top rail, with incised line at outer edges; heart-shape cut-out in center for carrying. Rectangular stiles, similarly incised, enclose framed board hinged at top with brass butt hinges. Board flush when closed; supported at various angles by means of racheted stile and prop-stick in back. Board has lip screwed to front, at base; fitted with brass hooks to secure leaves of book or music sheet. Shelf below, supported by fretted brackets; at right-hand side is rectangular box, open at one end, probably for rolled up sheet music. Stiles tennoned into shoe pieces which end in pad feet.
