DescriptionTextile panel of cotton, woodblock printed in red, purple, brown, pencil blue, yellow, and overprinted green in a design of wide stripes with undulating floral vines on white between ribbon and bowknot stripes on red ground. This panel is one of three pieces originally constituting the skirt of a dress which was disassembled. Three blue threads in selvages. Both selvages are present at the sides; the ends are cut. The bottom left of the panel had a curved cutout 10 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches in size, now hand stitched in position to reintegrate the design.Mark(s)Blue threads.ProvenanceNot known.ca. 1780
