DescriptionThis square, knotted carpet features a round center medallion within a square border and fringe on two sides. The medallion has a white flower in the center surround by blue leafs and white and yellow flowers. The medallion sits in a square, gold-beige reserve with four white flowers in each corner. Each flower is accompanied by blue vines. The reserve is surrounded by a thin border of white, blue, and dark blue. Outside of those borders is a wider border with florals on a golden ground. At each corner and at the center of each side is a sun or flower, which is connected with blue vines. The two sides without fringe have an additional dark blue border. These sides are bound with white yarn. The fringed sides are bound with blue yarn. The white, cotton fringe is stitched into the binding.Construction History
