DescriptionWoman's petticoat or skirt of ivory silk taffeta brocaded with silk flowers in red, pink, cream, yellow and green against a floral sub-pattern of ivory supplementary wefts. Gathered to narrow silk waistband, with broad flat pleat at center front and extra fullness and length at center back. Replaced cotton tabby hem binding. Loose threads where trim has been removed.Label TextThis woman's petticoat, or skirt, was originally worn under a gown of the same material, now missing.
