DescriptionTea Chest: rectangular tea chest with hinged lid; lid with flat top, coved edge, and short straight sides; bead between cove and flat sections and around base of lid; rococco brass bail handle and foliate rosettes attached to center of lid; lid hinged on brass butt hinges at rear; chest with straight sides over coved base molding and flat feet (7 of 8 missing) attached to flat triangular pads on underside of bottom board at corners; pierced foliate brass escutcheons in center of front; interior divided with thin mahogany vertical dividers into three equal rectangular sections across front with narrow rear section across full width of back; interior of lid lined with green velvet with green tape around perimeter (losses to velvet at center). Lid top board of deal with mahogany veneer.
