DescriptionRound tea table has three cabriole legs with smooth feet originally mounted on casters. Legs are dovetailed into base of shaft; three-pronged metal bracket (replaced) originally nailed into base of shaft; columnar shaft with spiral-turned base square tenoned into block; a round tenon on each side of block let into a round mortise in each batten serves as a hinge mechanism for the tilting top; two battens (replaced) screwed to bottom of round, unmolded top; brass snap lock secures top in down position.Mark(s)NoneProvenanceAcquired from source in Petersburg, Virginia, in 1940.
