DescriptionWoman's low-heeled shoe, one of a pair, of green kid leather printed with a wavy tortoise shell design of black lines. Shoe is bound around the edges with green silk tape and decorated with a green rosette of silk ribbons fastened over the pointed, slightly turned-up toe. The shoe has a small heel (1" high) attached to a brown leather sole. Due to wear, the soles are a lighter color under the ball of the foot, which tapers to a point under the arch. The outside of the heel is covered with solid unprinted green leather to match the color of the decorated uppers of the shoes. Linen lining.ProvenanceFrom the collection of Cora Ginsburg
