DescriptionAppearance - four board rectanguar mahogany top with astragol drop leaves; straight cherry skirt, veneered with mahogany on ends; side skirts of cherry with white pine frame behind; turned walnut leg with block above two rings, above a vase, above three rings, above rope turnings, above a ring, above a vase, above a ring, above a brass foot with casters. Construction - top screwed onto skirt; leaves hinged onto rule board; skirt tenoned into legs secured by white pine corner blocks; leaf supports of cherry loosely dovetailed to cherry side skirts with pin running through as a hinge; feet tenoned into legs.ProvenanceOwned by the Gwathmey family of Burlington, King Williams County, Virginia.
