DescriptionThis is a T-shaped wholecloth bed quilt made with a rust-brown, plain-woven wool face. The design consists of a center field with a geometric design of diagonal, perpendicular lines forming diamonds overlaid with interlocking circles. The sides and bottom contain wide borders with an undulating vine with flowers stemming from each curve. The background quilting is in parallel diagonal lines.

It is backed to gold cotton and wool backing. The top is pieced from three widths of fabric, each about 32 inches wide, and it retains creases from calendaring. It is quilted with running stitched over thin cotton batting. The sides and the foot are finished with red wool twill tape, which might be a later addition.
