DescriptionEpergne stand of cream-colored lead-glazed earthenware (creamware). The stand, supported on four legs has a broad base which tapers to a neck, terminating in a ring in which the central basket (1980-217,B) rests. Spanning the area between the legs are molded flowers. Above each group of flowers is a hole stamped with a number, to indicate the correct placement of the epergne arms, which were missing from the epergne when accessioned. The neck of the stand has pierced or incised decoration.Mark(s)Number stamped in each arm receptacle
