DescriptionGown of mauve silk taffeta, brocaded in multicolor silks in a pattern of vetically undulating lace and fur bands, with floral bouquets springing from them. Bodice has elbow length sleeves without trim or ruffles, low scoop neckline and front edge to edge closure. Bodice back has graduated curve panels ending in deep peak at lower waist. Full skirt, slightly trained and open at front, pleated to bodice. Gown neck and front skirt trimmed with cream silk looped fringe.1770s, remade from earlier style.
