DescriptionOval container with cylindrical fluted sides and small knobby handles; fluted and slightly peaked lid with a raised knob; oval tray with a fluted rim. Bluish tin glaze decorated in blue with a large flower and vine like branches. On the bottom of both tray and container, a numeral 2.Label TextThis container was once part of a pair and was most likely used on a dining table to hold butter or condiments. Although the pieces were probably made in Dublin, the pattern has in the past been tentatively attributed to Glasgow.
