DescriptionAppearance: Rectangular blanket chest with hinged top; top with batten end construction with molding below; corner posts continue to floor; base molding applied around front and sides of chest; front painted with two rectangular reserves containing large flowers with large iron keyhole escutcheon between them; till was originally located across end of chest (now missing).

Construction: post and panel construction; bottom held on with wooden pegs; top batten ends, through-mortised, wedged, and pinned.

Woods: Sides and front top molding are tulip poplar; front base molding is pine; vertical stiles and top batten molding are oak
