DescriptionSlant front desk with four graduated drawers with thumbnail molded edges, top drawer flanked by lopers; fluted quarter columns; ogee bracket feet. Desk interior composed of a central plain prospect door flanked by two fluted document drawers. On either side of the prospect section are four pigeon holes, the central two with shaped valences with a double bead between them extending to the writing surface, over two banks of two drawers separated by the double bead.Inscription(s)Inscription in ink on side of right document drawer: "Andrew Elliott Allen W. All interior desk drawers are marked in ink on the insides of the sides, backs, and fronts with their location including: "TL1" for top row, left of prospect, 1st column; "TL2" for top row, left of prospect, 2nd column; "BR2" for bottom row, right of prospect, 2nd column, etc.
All drawers marked on inside faces of sides and backs and some bottoms with chalk flourish.ProvenanceOriginally owned by Robert Elliott, deceased 1786;
