DescriptionShallow bowl with high cylindrical foot ring. White tin glaze decorated in blue with a Chinese dragon: its head and neck appear on the interior of the bowl, while its body extends over the rim and around the exterior.Label TextBowls and dishes decorated with variations of the dragon design see here, which starts on the interior of the bowl and flips over the rim to extend around the exterior, were made in China for many years beginning in the Ming period. English copies vary in both design and material; soft-paste porcelain examples survive as well as those in tin-glazed earthenware.
