DescriptionNavette silver-shaped tray with narrow slightly flared gallery. The center and interior rim of the tray are decorated with brown, puce, green, and turquoise enamels. The central decoration painted with a scene of two ladies seated at a tea table reading coffee grounds in cups and a coffee pot with a straight handle at the center of the table, the scene within a turquoise bordered navette-shaped reserve mirroring the shape of the tray; the interior of the tray gallery is painted with a continuous border of a leafy vine with nut clusters.Mark(s)Impressed mark "Neale & Wilson" on back of tray. The inscription reads: "Here's luck in the bottom dear Jane only see! My dream and my coffee in a wedding agree. But ha! my dear sister, what fate me befall, I fear I can wait, for no wedding at all."
