DescriptionWindsor settee with straight, narrow cresting rail across back, bends at right angles at either end and comes forward to top of armposts; back composed of 21 plain, tapering spindles between crest rail and doweled into seat; eight spindles on either side, behind, baluster-turned armpost at front; broad, plank seat worn at front; four, bamboo-turned legs, braced by blauster stretchers at either end, connected in center by plain, medial stretcher, probably a replacement.Mark(s)"LETCHWORTH" branded in block letters beneath seat.1760-1780
