DescriptionTwo plates with incised foot rings. Bluish tin glaze decorated in intense blue with a pastoral landscape scene, a complex Chinese border on the rim, and three scrolls on the reverse rim. This example with two cows on a hillside on the front and a crowned harp on the base.Label TextThis plate and its mate in the CWF collection may be part of a service made for Lionel, duke of Dorset, who was lord lieutenant of Ireland from 1751 to 1755.
