DescriptionTeapot molded in the form of a kneeling camel with its legs tucked next to its body, on a rectilinear base with concave sides and the underside flat with evidence of mold lines and with irregular portions unglazed. The camel wearing an elaborate harness and carrying a howdah on its back. Its neck and head form the spout, opposite a handle in the form of a scaled fish or dolphin arched from the camel's tail to the howdah. One side of the howdah molded with a scene of a knight brandishing a sword in front of a pavilion. The other side with a garden scene. The teapot surmounted by a hexagonal domed and faceted lid with a small flange, the dome topped by a finial of a two-faced man, possibly representing Janus.
