DescriptionFigure: man standing, his feet spread apart, on a flat rectangular base with canted corners; supported at his back by a broken column; he wears a large tricorn hat with fringe, a wig with a long tail which extends down his back and ends with a flower, a long coat, a long waistcoat, the tails of which flap over his hands, tight knee breeches, a sword, and buckle shoes; the base mostly unglazed.ProvenanceSold at auction in 1968 without information concerning owner (see: Sotheby and Co., CATALOGUE OF AN IMPORTANT COLLECTION OF ENGLISH PORCELAIN, April 2, 1968 (London, 1968), lot 22.
