DescriptionJoint stool: rectangular top with rounded edge; on all sides straight skirt with ovolo molded bottom edge; each leg turned from top to bottom in a cylinder, a ring, a baluster shape, a ring, a cylinder, a series of 2 rings, a section square in cross section where stretchers pinned to legs, and a flattened ball-shaped foot; one stretcher at each side with an incised line on the upper surface.ProvenanceEx coll: L.G. Colonial Williamsburg statements at the time of purchase indicate that Myers considered the joint stool to be of Maryland origin.1700-1720
