DescriptionStem cast in two parts consisting of a cylindrical socket with heavy moldings at rim, mid-band, and hemispherical lower section with moldings at juncture above a tall inverted baluster section of rectangular plan with canted corners with corners of upper part ribbed and tripartite mid-band around narrow lower part above a flattened knop; banded lower section of stem flaring to fairly narrow circular well with molded edge in center-top of fairly short domed and paneled base of shaped rectangular plan with curved corners and molded edge. Crest of a sunburst enclosed by a partial circular wreath on a wreath bar.Inscription(s)Crest of Jackson, Cumberland and Oxfordshire, engraved on exterior of each base.Mark(s)Maker's mark "MC" in block letters within a double-lobed reserve, leopard's head crowned, lion passant, and date on underside of base of each.ProvenanceVendodr: Garrard & Co.
